The XPS Library is run by just one person, B. Vincent Crist, who loves XPS and knows how useful it is to solve chemistry problems and make new materials. Please note that he is retired and has invested money to produce all of the spectra, tables, charts, plots, and the website itself, none of these are free, but they are provided at low cost to help XPS users and XPS scientists around the world. Website maintenance cost is roughly $1,000 per year, and the cost is rising.

After purchasing a subscription you will have immediately have access to the links that provide Free XPS Software, which are not really free because a professor or a graduate student or a programmer or a professor spent his money to pay a programmer to write the XPS software. The cost to write a useful software is roughly $15,000 in today’s money.  PHI, Thermo, and Kratos have spent millions to produce their software.

The initial phase of providing access is to sell the PASSWORD that allows you to open a page.  Soon, we must buy a subscription with a License and a Time Limit for that License.
